Privacy and cookies

Food Per Person is a static website. There are no user accounts, and we do not run a server that collects or stores your personal information. What you type into a calculator is processed in your browser and is never sent to us.

Preferences in your browser

Your unit system, currency, and theme choice are saved in your browser local storage so the site remembers them on your next visit. This stays on your device; you can clear it any time through your browser settings.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, which calculators and pages people use. It sets cookies and processes usage data under Google's privacy policy. We do not use it to identify you personally. Analytics stays off unless enabled in the site configuration, and where consent is required it follows your choice in the consent banner.

Advertising

When advertising is enabled, we use Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites, as described in how Google uses cookies in advertising. Where required, ads run in non-personalized mode until you consent. You can review and control ad personalization at Google Ads Settings.

Affiliate links

Some shopping-list links go to retailers such as Amazon and may be affiliate links. See the affiliate disclosure for details. Following one takes you to the retailer, whose own privacy policy then applies.

Your choices

You can decline analytics and ad personalization in the consent banner, clear local storage in your browser, and use browser or extension controls to block cookies. Questions go to the contact page.
